Overview

Purpose

Conference rooms enable multiple participants to join the same call for meetings, training sessions, and collaborative discussions. Supports up to 100+ participants with moderator controls.

Access Methods:

Host Controls:

  • Mute all participants

  • Lock conference (no new joins)
  • Record conference

Moderator Actions:

  • Press *1: Mute/unmute self
  • Press *2: Lock/unlock conference
  • Press *3: Eject last caller
  • Press *4: Decrease volume
  • Press *6: Increase volume

Security Options:

  • PIN protection (numeric code)
  • Moderator PIN (separate from participant)
  • Wait for moderator
  • Lock after start
  • Caller ID restrictions

Security Best Practice

Always use PIN protection for business conferences to prevent unauthorized access.


Create Conference

Go to Call Features > Conference

Configure Conference Room

Settings:

  • Name: Meeting room identifier
  • Extension: Direct dial number
  • Maximum participants
  • PIN code (optional but recommended)
  • Moderator PIN (for host controls)
  • Wait for moderator
  • Music on hold
  • Recording option

Set Join Options

  • Announce caller on join/leave
  • Play music until first participant
  • Muted on entry
  • Video conference option

Save and Distribute

Share conference details with participants:

  • Dial-in number
  • Conference extension
  • PIN code
  • Scheduled time
