Linkus Installation

Purpose

Deploy Linkus unified communications clients to user devices.

Desktop Installation

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
  • 4GB RAM minimum
  • 200MB disk space

Download Installer

Download from voco.cloud/linkus or company portal

Run Installation

Run installer executable and follow the wizard

Configure and Sign In

Launch Linkus Desktop, scan QR code or enter credentials:

  • Server: Your Cloud-PBX URL (e.g., company.voco.cloud)
  • Extension: 1001
  • Password: User password

Result

Linkus Desktop connects and is ready to make/receive calls.

Requirements

  • macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or later
  • 4GB RAM minimum
  • 200MB disk space

Download DMG

Download DMG from voco.cloud/linkus

Install Application

Open DMG file and drag Linkus to Applications folder

Grant Permissions

Launch from Applications and grant microphone permission when prompted

Sign In

Scan QR code or enter credentials

Result

Linkus Desktop active on macOS.

Requirements

  • Ubuntu 18.04+ or equivalent
  • 4GB RAM minimum
  • 200MB disk space

Download Package

Download .deb or .rpm from voco.cloud/linkus

Install Package

sudo dpkg -i linkus-desktop.deb
# or
sudo rpm -i linkus-desktop.rpm

Configure and Launch

Launch Linkus, configure audio devices, and sign in

Result

Linkus Desktop runs on Linux workstation.


Mobile Installation

Requirements

  • iOS 13.0 or later
  • iPhone or iPad

Download from App Store

Open App Store and search "Linkus Mobile Client", tap Get

Grant Permissions

Launch app and allow notifications, microphone, contacts permissions

Sign In

Scan QR code from admin portal (Extensions > User > Linkus > QR Code) or enter manually:

  • Server: Your Cloud-PBX URL (e.g., company.voco.cloud)
  • Extension: 1001
  • Password: User password

Tap Sign In

Result

Linkus Mobile active on iPhone/iPad.

Requirements

  • Android 6.0 or later

Download from Play Store

Open Google Play Store, search "Linkus Mobile Client" and tap Install

Grant Permissions

Launch and grant permissions (notifications, microphone, contacts, phone)

Sign In

Scan QR code or enter credentials, then tap Sign In

Result

Linkus Mobile ready on Android device.


Web Client

Purpose

No installation required - access from any browser.

Requirements

  • Modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • Microphone/speaker access
  • Stable internet connection

Access Web Client

Navigate to your Cloud-PBX web client:

Open Web Client(Set Your Cloud-PBX URL first)

Enter Credentials

Enter Extension (1001) and Password, click Sign In

Configure Audio

Allow browser microphone access and configure audio devices in settings

Result

Linkus Web Client active in browser tab.

Use Case: Temporary access, travel, public computers, demo purposes.


Microsoft Teams Integration

Purpose

Use Cloud PBX phone system directly within Microsoft Teams.

Requirements

  • Microsoft 365 subscription with Teams
  • Teams desktop or mobile app
  • Cloud PBX license

Admin Installation

Admin installs Linkus app from Teams Admin Center

User Access

User opens Microsoft Teams and navigates to Apps

Add Linkus

Search "Linkus" and click Add

Sign In

Linkus tab appears in Teams interface - sign in with extension credentials

Result

Full phone system integrated in Teams - calls, voicemail, contacts all within Teams interface.

Use Case: Organizations standardized on Microsoft 365 ecosystem.


QR Code Provisioning

Purpose

Simplify setup with automated configuration.

Go to Extensions > Select user

Access Linkus Tab

Click Linkus tab

Generate Code

Click Generate QR Code - QR code displays with embedded configuration

Distribute

Print or email to user

Install and Launch

Install Linkus app and launch

Scan QR Code

Click Scan QR Code - camera activates

Complete Setup

Point at QR code - app auto-configures and signs in

Result

Zero-touch deployment - no manual entry required.

Purpose

Deploy Linkus to large numbers of users using enterprise tools.

Create MSI Package

Create MSI package with pre-configured settings

Deploy via GPO

Verification

After Installation, Verify

  1. Registration: Green status indicator in app
  2. Audio: Test call to echo test extension

  5. Presence: Status updates correctly

Troubleshooting

Cannot Connect

  • Verify server URL is correct
  • Check firewall allows SIP (5060/5061) and RTP (10000-20000)
  • Confirm credentials are correct
  • Test network connectivity

No Audio

  • Grant microphone permissions
  • Select correct audio devices in settings
  • Check system volume not muted
  • Test with different audio device

Push Notifications Not Working

  • Grant notification permissions
  • Ensure app not in battery saver mode
  • Check notification settings in app
  • Verify PBX push service configured
